Five things that save the house before we pull in.
- 1Find the main shut-off — usually at the meter, the well pressure tank, or where the line enters the house.
- 2If it's a water heater, kill the breaker (electric) or set the control to off/pilot (gas/propane).
- 3Don't keep running other fixtures if a drain is backing up. That just moves the mess.
- 4Pull rugs and anything cardboard off the wet floor. We'll handle the plumbing; you save the belongings.
- 5Call us. A local tech answers — not a dispatch center two states over.
